Was established in 1980 by George and Lorraine Bartolo, and was registered with the ABBA as member 1528. The stud became predominately based on the renowned Cherokee and Wairuna bloodlines, as well as a moderately sized Full Blood Indu herd. Since then the herd has been modernized and improved continuously by extensive AI and Embryo Transfer, with the use of a vast range of genetics.

New bloodlines were acquired through imported American sires (JDH Drake Manso 59/9 and V8 636/3). Further advancements have been made in semen purchases from the US, Sires represented are:-

  • JDH Mr Deeds MANSO LL Sugar Ely 726 BB Stingray 10/0
  • JDH MR MANSO 258 V8 Superstroke DB Montecore 73/3
  • JDH Sir Parker MANSO JJ 873/1 DB Valentino 48/3
  • JDH 778 MANSO TD West 270 LB Darranger 953/3
  • JDH 506 MANSO V8 777 MK Vernon 349/1
  • JDH David MANSO JJ 691 HK Passport 777

  • JDH 28/4 PECOS 28/4 Mr International 50/1 VL Rojo Bravo 28/2
  • JDH Andre MANSO 706 VL Rojo Grande 4/95

Also purchasing exceptional sires through Australian sale rings. The Bartolo family have been using AI since 1982 and were among the first to attempt and use ET in Qld.

  • In 2008 the stud has imported 4 new Sires: JDH Sir Luis Manso (Grey)
  • Mr JS 480 "HOTSHOT" (Grey)
  • Mr V8 51/6 (Poll) (Grey)
  • JH 20/6 "Crillson" (Red)

Brought up with Brahmans, George continued to develop the breed for their adaptability and suitability for Australia's environment. When selecting and purchasing sires, bulls are chosen with quality and type in mind, not brand. And scant reason is needed as an excuse to cull cows - type and conformation are first on the list, and most definitely temperament.

A small full blood Indu herd has been retained after concentrated culling for unpopular traits and an attractive group have emerged from this.

Approximately 350 Herd Bulls are for sale from the paddock each year and currently 6 public auctions are supported with 120 stud and commercial bulls and 50 heifers each year.

Situated north of Nebo "Carrinyah" is approx. 20,600 acres, running 2000 stud breeders and a 500 head commercial operation.

The Carrinyah Park gate is always open for visitors.

Semen is available in JS Rouge Crillson 20/6 phone Jason (07)49507171 mobile 0427507177
