Reedybrook and Hopewell Stations Sold for Approximately $20 Million Valley of Lagoons Aggregation Partially Sold Following Strong Market Interest

Two prominent North Queensland cattle stations, Reedybrook and Hopewell, have been sold for a combined total of approximately $20 million with additional cattle.

The properties, which formed part of the renowned Valley of Lagoons aggregation, were marketed and successfully sold individually due to substantial buyer interest in their unique characteristics.
The successful vendors, Patrick and Delinda Sheahan, have transacted the properties to undisclosed purchasers, marking a significant transaction in the region’s rural property market.

Hopewell Station, the cornerstone of the Sheahan family’s cattle operations, has been held in the family for over 40 years.

It has provided a foundation of reliability and stability, underpinned by secure and consistent rainfall. Reedybrook, acquired by the Sheahan family in 2018, has been utilised for breeding and fattening cattle. “Reedybrook is a magnificent parcel of land offering wetlands, basalt country and production reliability,” commented marketing agent Luke Westaway. “Burdekin River properties like Reedybrook and the Valley of Lagoons are one of a kind.”

Valley of Lagoons, the signature property of the aggregation, remains available for sale and continues to attract interest. Featuring Burdekin River frontage, spectacular lakes and lagoon systems, tourism potential and an elegant homestead complex, the property modestly carries over 6,000 head.

Offering a rare opportunity for tourism, business expansion or a standalone breeding and fattening enterprise.

The property is being marketed by Stockplace Marketing.
