Auction was reasonably well attended and there were 11 registered bidders for the 4 properties.

Dusty’s Hut & Werribee – 25,333 acres Opening bid $2.0M from floor

Increased to $2.10M and sold to Anderson Family Eddington Julia Creek – approx. $82.89 per acre.

 

Isabel Downs – 27,127 acres Opening bid $1.80M from floor.

Increased to $2.10M and sold to Rob Benetto Virginia Park Mingela approx. $77.41 per acre.

 

Phenros, Morella  Both Property's still  in negotiations.

Phenros comprises black soil downs country on the headwaters of the Eastern Creek and Glenbervie Creek, grassed by Mitchell and Flinders plus annual species in season with scattered whitewood, acacia and coolibah on the creeks.

The property is watered by bore drains from a flowing artesian bore near the homestead plus a second bore equipped with a solar powered submersible pump supplying a turkey’s nest dam.

Improvements include a 4 bedroom homestead, quarters, shed, stables and steel cattle yards. The property is fenced into 10* paddocks.

The properties comprise black or brown soil downs country with red soil stony ridges and channels of the Wild Duck creek, shaded by whitewood, vinetree with coolabah on the creeks and patches of gidyea scrub. Water is available from Dusty’s Hut artesian bore, which is equipped with a windmill pumping to two turkey’s nest dams and troughs. A solar powered floating centrifugal pump with tracking solar panels pumps from the main turkey’s nest via 8 km* of poly pipe to 3 poly tanks and troughs.

Werribee’s artesian bore supplies a turkey’s nest dam and cement trough. Seasonal water is available from two small dams on Dusty’s Hut and one on Werribee and semi-permanent waterholes along Wild Duck creek.
