    Location: Located 86 km south-west of Richmond (with 50 klms of bitumen road) and 195 klms north west of Winton, (with 80 klms of bitumen) and 140 klms east south east of Julia Creek.

    Country: The property consists of undulating Mitchell and Flinders grass country, with Whitewood and Vine trees scattered throughout.

    Some Prickly Acacia and Mimosa. The country is tight with Gidyea Pebble and Sandstone ridges throughout. Wolston is on the watershed of several creeks and does not experience severe flooding.

    The pasture is in excellent condition with a mixture of Button Grass and Herbage mixed through the Mitchell and Flinders.

    Waters.  Wolston House bore was drilled and capped in 2000. It supplies 3 well shaded bore drains on the southern end of the property. It also has a 100 mg Irrigation license, that expires in 30/06/2111.

    Clifton Block is watered by Gordon’s bore and flows into a Turkeys nest and then two electric pumps (one standby), pump to the 27 concrete trough watering points under high pressure.

    This results in a maximum walking distance for any beast is less than 1.5 klms. Stock Route bore is a share with 3 other properties and is fully maintained by the Richmond Shire Council.

    This bore supplies a small dam in paddock 4. This bore has future potential.

    General Comments:  Wolston is an excellent cattle block. It is tight country that responds easily to rain.

    They have had excellent rain in this last monsoon depression and the country is responding well.

    There is a large homestead, a 2 bedroom donga, 4 bay Steel Machinery shed with workshop, set of cattle yards near the house and 11 holding paddocks for ease of cattle handling.

    The 3 open bore drains are well shaded with Athol Pine and Eucalypt trees planted there many years ago.
