Karmoo Brahmans

The Faints have prepared 7 very handy bulls for the Gold City Sale

In 1993, Karmoo Pastoral branched out, purchasing Marmordale, 12 klms from Clermont, where the company’s purebred steers and bulls are being grown out.

In 1979, 120 purebred grey females were purchased from the late Birt Tweedy of ‘’Annmore”, whose herd was established in 1963 when 8 full-blood stud females from the Lyndale and Waverley studs were brought.

Only Cherokee, Allawah, and Avondale Sires were used in this herd. Continuing with this base, Karmoo Brahmans was born when additional foundation stud females were obtained from Orana, Garglen, Batandra, and Coweki studs.

These cows also carried a large percentage of “Cherokee” and “Allawah” genetics. Since then, additional top quality females have been purchased, enabling the gene pool of the herd to remain flexible.

Current Principals Lance, wife Sonia, and daughter Kirstin, have been breeding purebred Brahmans for forty years.
