Glenlea Beef has strengthened its leadership capability with the appointment of Bridget Peachey as the Charolais seedstock operation advances its 2030 growth strategy.

The appointment supports the expansion of governance, research capability and commercial systems as the business continues to scale operations across Queensland and northern New South Wales.

Glenlea Beef is a second-generation Charolais enterprise with more than 50 years of continuous breeding history.

The operation runs in excess of 1,000 purebred Charolais females across multiple properties and produces more than 300 bulls annually. The business is positioned as one of the leading suppliers of commercially focused Charolais genetics to northern beef systems.

Bridget brings more than 30 years’ experience across Australia and New Zealand’s red meat, wool, dairy and feedlot sectors.
She holds a Master of Applied Science (Animal Science) and her career includes senior leadership roles such as General Manager, Research at Australian Wool Innovation, where she led a national research portfolio.

Across her career she has worked on large-scale research, development and extension programs, livestock sustainability initiatives, governance frameworks, animal welfare standards and producer adoption programs across multiple production systems.

Stud principal Roderick Binny said the appointment aligned with the next phase of the business’s growth.

“Our breeding program has always been built on measurable commercial outcomes - growth, fertility, carcase performance and adaptability in real northern conditions,” Roderick said.

“As we scale toward our 2030 goals, strengthening governance and strategic capability becomes increasingly important. Bridget brings experience in research, governance and industry systems that supports where we are heading.”

Bridget will focus on strengthening strategic planning, governance systems, performance reporting and data integration, while supporting the expansion of Glenlea Beef’s national marketing and client engagement programs.

The business’s 2030 strategy includes continued growth in private bull sales, expansion of single-vendor sale performance in Queensland and increasing demand for Red Factor Charolais genetics.

Bridget said Glenlea Beef’s focus on objective performance positioned the business well for long-term growth.

“The program has a strong performance-first foundation,” she said.

“The opportunity is to build the systems that support disciplined growth while maintaining the commercial focus producers value.”

Glenlea Beef supplies Charolais genetics to commercial beef producers across Central and Northern Queensland and continues to expand its national reach.

Bridget and I will be attending the Charnelle and Palgrove female sales over next two weeks, and she hopes to meet as many members as possible, please say hi to Bridget and welcome her to Australian Charolais
