FLASHBACK — BEEF 2021

PEOPLE, PLACES AND FACES

Beef Australia 2021 was a week to remember in Rockhampton, bringing the beef industry together from across Queensland, the Northern Territory and right around Australia.

Held from May 2–8, 2021, the event celebrated the strength, resilience and future of the Australian beef industry. After a challenging period for many rural communities, Beef 2021 was a powerful reminder of the people, businesses, cattle families and industry leaders who continue to drive agriculture forward.

The theme of “redefining resilience” was very fitting, with producers, agents, stud breeders, commercial cattlemen and women, rural businesses and visitors all coming together in Rockhampton for one of the biggest agricultural events in the country.

Beef Australia 2021 recorded 115,866 attendances, a strong result and a 15% increase on the 2018 event. It also generated around $94 million in direct, incremental expenditure for the Rockhampton region, showing just how important this event is not only to the beef industry, but to regional Queensland.

A Week of Cattle, People and Industry Spirit

From stud cattle judging and breed displays to business networking, trade sites, food, technology and social events, Beef 2021 showcased the best of the Australian beef industry.

The photos from the week tell the real story — cattle on show, familiar faces, industry mates catching up, plenty of Akubras, and the strong community spirit that makes Beef Australia such a special event.
