Elrose Station 100 Years Flashback

( 8 May 2018 — Over 100 family, friends and past staff attended

100 years Elrose" refers to Elrose Station a famous Brahman cattle stud in Northwest Queensland, Australia, that celebrated a century of operation under the influential Jefferis Family before being sold in recent years, marking a major milestone in Australian cattle history, including record-breaking sale.

Elrose is aligned with significant fattening / backgrounding capacity and is ideally located in the very tightly held Cloncurry District.

This property has been under the stewardship of the Jefferis family for over 100 years

Spanning over 30,000* hectares of freehold and leasehold land with additional permits, Elrose features gently undulating Mitchell and Flinders grass downs with patches of lighter red soils.

The property, located near McKinlay and Cloncurry, spans over 30,000 hectares (approximately 74,000 acres) of freehold and leasehold land. It is known for its Mitchell and Flinders grass downs and frontage to the Fullarton River.

The seasonal Fullarton River and associated channels support reliable grazing with established buffel and native grasses. Situated in a 500*mm average annual rainfall zone.

Suited to both breeding and backgrounding programs, Elrose Station provides flexibility for domestic and export markets. Its moderate climate and tick-free status support Bos Taurus herds, enabling access to premium feeder and slaughter channels.
