In 1993, Karmoo Pastoral branched out, purchasing Marmordale, 12 klms from Clermont, where the company’s purebred steers and bulls are being grown out.
Current Principals Lance, wife Sonia, and daughter Kirstin, have been breeding purebred Brahmans for forty years.
In 1979, 120 purebred grey females were purchased from the late Birt Tweedy of ‘’Annmore”, whose herd was established in 1963 when 8 full-blood stud females from the Lyndale and Waverley studs were brought. Only Cherokee, Allawah, and Avondale Sires were used in this herd.
Continuing with this base, Karmoo Brahmans was born when additional foundation stud females were obtained from Orana, Garglen, Batandra, and Coweki studs.
These cows also carried a large percentage of “Cherokee” and “Allawah” genetics. Since then, additional top quality females have been purchased, enabling the gene pool of the herd to remain flexible.

This year we have 48 bulls available that have all been morphology tested twice with 3 months between the 2 tests.
They have only had a lite preparation again and have done it all in the paddock with no hay.
We are offering free transport to anywhere within QLD.
The sale is on the 8th of September and starts at 11:30 with viewing available from 9 am sale day or any day prior can be arranged with a phone call.
