Ray White Biloela’s Mark Simpson said a large crowd attended the auction at the Rockhampton Leagues Club today where Bauhinia property Wongaburra sold for $6.15 million on the phone  to undisclose buyer from Central Queensland $1,025 per acre.

Located 74km west of Moura, Wongaburra is predominately scrub country that was originally timbered with brigalow, bauhinia, bonewood, bottlewood and belah. A large percentage of the freehold property has been blade ploughed over the years.

2422-hectare (5985 acre)

Improvements include a homestead, cottage, sheds, yards and horse stalls.
Drawn in the 1964 Bauhinia land ballot by the late Gordon Neill-Ballantine, Wongaburra' was developed over a lifetime including the sinking of a flowing bore in 1979.

Wongaburra was marketed by Mark Simpson from Ray White Rural
