PBF Spring Bull Sale Wrap Up

Wrap up PBF Invitation Sale

Top of $14,000.

THE PBF Brahman Sale at the Fenech family's on-property selling complex at Sarina got under way at 11am last Saturday with invited vendors Ivan and Helen Price, Moongool Stud, Charlie and Carmel McKinlay, Chasmac Park Stud and Carl and Gail Morawitz, Stewart Park Stud.

Top price Brahman bull of the sale was lot 1 PBF Anzac Manso which sold to John Brownson, Brownson Brahmans, for $14,000 second top price bull was a herd bull from the Moongool Brahman stud.

Overall the sale grossed $405,000 for 75% clearance 122 bulls offered sold 92.
Top Brahman $14,000 for Lot 1 to J & D Brownson and second top price Brahman was $12,000 brought by John Kirk Carinya Brahman stud.

Charolais had a 100% clearance 17/17 Charolais gross $66,000 average $3,882.

The Charbray section was tough going selling only 4out of the 9 offered gross $13,000 average $3,250

The lone Brangus sold for $3,000.

Brahmans offered 95 bulls sold 70 to gross $323,000 average $4,614.

The volume of buyers were spread out central and northern were operating on the day Appleton Cattle Co, Bulliwallah, Charters Towers purchased 6 Brahman and 2 Charolais bulls for an average of $3625, and Sarina local PJ Davis who went home with 4 Brahman and 4 Charolais for an average of $4063.

Local support came from well-known Brahman Breeder Stewart and Sarah Borg they secured 3 Brahmans and 3 Charolais.
Another six bulls went up to Coen for VP and CL Byrnes.
