Pitch in the Paddock, supported by KPMG
Beef Australia 2018 is proud to launch, for the first time ever, ‘Pitch in the Paddock’, supported by KPMG, which invites leading agtech entrepreneurial talent to present their innovative business ideas to beef industry stakeholders, influencers, media, and customers.
If you’re a stand-out entrepreneur or start-up, with an idea or existing product/service that can make a real difference in the beef industry, this is your opportunity to submit your application to present at Beef Australia. Your idea will then be showcased to a panel of leading business minds and industry experts.
Beef Australia is seeking seemingly complex business models/concepts, service or products that are explained within three minutes with clarity and credibility by entrepreneurs and business owners who have industry experience and or knowledge and are passionate about the opportunities their business will create.
Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to cultivate your business ideas through gaining exposure to the entire supply chain and local and international leaders, as well as take home some fantastic cash prizes. Applications for Pitch in the Paddock will open on February 12, 2018, and close on March 9, 2018. Submissions are free of charge and must be provided in a written and a three-minute video format.
Apart from the opportunity to present to and network with the best in the beef business, once short-listed, the top eight successful applicants will receive pitching practice hosted by KPMG ahead of the event to polish their pitch before the big day.
The top three finalists – judged by a panel of experts on the day – are in the running for some unique incentives including:
First place: Cash prize of $5,000 plus an exclusive half-day session titled ‘Growing your business’ with KPMG partner Hamish Doley. This session will focus on investor readiness, business strategy, and attracting growth capital. Mr Doley supports companies from start-up to large groups turning over more than $250 million per annum with a strong focus on agriculture.
Second place: Cash prize of $2,000 plus tailored social media and digital content coaching with a leading Digital and Media Agency.
