Lancefield Exceptional Sale

Lancefield Brahmans Invitation Sale, saw bidding top at $65,000 and a sale average $8619, with 99% clearance a great result for all the Lancefield prefix studs.

Rodger and Lorena Jefferis, Elrose Brahmans, Cloncurry secured the sale topper, Lancefield S Jackman Lot 19 for $65,000.

"By far the standout Jackman as far as his carcase traits and sire appeal goes", said Mr Jefferis. Roger was on the ball purchasing the $26,000 Lancefield S Kennedy the 23-month-old Lancefield S Kirby son weighed 800kg.

The west were not to be outdone Andrew Hacon, Hacon & Sons, Cloncurry, grabbed the second top price bull of the day buying the $28,000 Lancefield S Lincon Lot 25. Andrew bought three bulls to average $14,167.

$16,000 and the top priced Palmal bull was Palmal Dazzler, knocked down to AJ and Pam Davison, Viva Brahmans, Middlemount.
Stewart Nobbs brought for Lyndhurst Brahmans, Biloela a good bull from Lancefield M sire, a son of Mr International 50/1, Lancefield M Duntroon for $19,000.
$17,000 was topped twice with 2AM Norton selling to David & Joy Deguara, Hamdenvale Brahmans, Mackay, and 2AM Thompson knocked down to Stewart & Kerry Wallace, Wallace Cattle Co, Clark Creek.

Top Red of the sale was lot 64 2AM Tait (poll) $16,000 was bought by well-known red breeders Radel family Kandoona Brahmans.
Lancefield S Richmond sold for $24,000 and was brought by Granite Springs and Ooline Brahmans.
Charters Towers John Nelson and family, Herbert Hall Enterprises, took home eight bulls to average $5500.

Brett Kirk Hazelton Brahmans picked up Lot 1 Palmal Elliot (poll) a very handy bull for $9,000.Welcome Downs Cattle Co picked up Lot 48 for $15,000 Rob and Una Oates brought Lot 49 for $13.000.
Ken Muller Pluto Brahmans secured a good bull in Lot 81 Lancefield S Dolton for $15,000.
